How we use your information
Last updated: 6 November 2026
Who we are
Ranjha Home Grants is a trading name of [legal business name]. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. ICO registration number: [ICO registration number]. Contact: [contact email], [postal address].
What we collect
When you enquire, ask us to call you, or come to us through an advert (for example a TikTok lead form), we collect: your name, phone number, email (if given), address and postcode, whether you own the property, and details about your home and energy use that you choose to share. We also keep records of our calls and messages with you, and technical details such as your IP address when you submit a form.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and contact you about it: with your consent, and because it is in our legitimate interests to deal with enquiries you make.
- To introduce you to one installation partner: with your consent. The partner uses your details to arrange a survey and quote and becomes responsible for how they use them.
- To check you were looked after after the introduction: our legitimate interests in providing a good service.
- To keep business, accounting and legal records: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
One installation partner per enquiry (with your agreement), and service providers who help us run our business (such as website hosting, email and phone services) under contract. We don't sell your information.
How long we keep it
If you don't go ahead, we keep your enquiry for up to 24 months and then delete or anonymise it. If you do go ahead, we keep records for as long as needed for our business and legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw your consent at any time, and ask us to stop contacting you. Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies and how you found us
When you arrive on our website we note where you came from (for example a TikTok, Facebook or Google advert, or a Google search), the page you landed on, the type of device you're using and your rough area (town or region, worked out from your internet address on our own server), so we can see which adverts are worth paying for. We don't store your IP address and we don't use advertising networks' tracking cookies.
If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we set two small cookies of our own: rhg_consent remembers your choice for a year, and rhg_visit joins up the pages you look at during one visit (it's deleted when you close your browser). With your agreement we also note your screen size and language, how long you spend on our pages, how far down you read, and whether you tap our phone number or start a form, to make the website work better. If you click No thanks, we only remember that choice. If you send us an enquiry, we keep how you found us with it. You can change your mind any time using Cookie settings.
The form on each page also uses a short-lived security token to stop spam; it isn't a tracking cookie.
If you sign in to My home to see your enquiry, we set a cookie that keeps you signed in on that device for 90 days (it's needed for the page to work). You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email or phone; we never ask for a password.
Talking to us on the website
The "Tap to talk" assistant on this website is an AI assistant. It says so at the start. Conversations are recorded and transcribed so our team can follow up, and you can ask to speak to a person at any time.
To run it we use these service providers, under contract, only to provide the service: OpenAI (to turn your speech into text and to write the assistant's answers), Google Cloud (to read the answers out in a voice) and, for some conversations, Vapi (a voice assistant service). What you say is sent to them for that purpose. Your details (name, mobile, postcode and home) are saved in our own system.
Calls
Calls to and from our phone line can be answered by our AI phone assistant, which always says it's an AI assistant at the start, and you can ask for a person at any time. Calls are recorded and transcribed so our team can follow up; we tell you this at the start of the call. The assistant runs on Vapi (the call itself and the voice), with OpenAI (understanding and answering) and our phone provider Twilio.
